Billie D. Resnick, J.D.

Principal

Billie Resnick is a founding principal of The Resnick Group of Naples, Florida. She focuses on the strategic design and implementation of life insurance programs for affluent families, individuals, and senior executives in the areas of estate planning, business succession, charitable planning and buy-sell agreements. Billie is also recognized for her successful implementation of difficult underwriting cases and is credited for her highly effective in-force life insurance policy monitoring systems, which is utilized by attorneys, CPAs, Family Offices, and Trust Departments on behalf of their clients. As an advocate of the team approach, Billie frequently provides support to clients’ CPAs, attorneys, trust officers, and other professionals.

Billie, along with her husband John, and Larry Brody, Esq. were recently invited to co-author the upcoming book, Due Diligence of Trust Owned Life Insurance, published by the American Bar Association. Her articles on life insurance and estate planning have appeared in national publications such as The Journal of Practical Estate Planning and Journal of Retirement Planning, both published by Commerce Clearing House (CCH), as well as The Pennsylvania Bankers Magazine, The Harrisburg Patriot-News, and many others.

Billie has co-created and instructed numerous educational courses for CPA’s and attorneys on the proper use of life insurance in estate planning that were presented at the Annual Estate Planning Conference for the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida State University’s College of Business, and the Pennsylvania Bankers School of Trust and Wealth Management conducted at Bucknell University.

Billie and her husband, John, created the nationally syndicated radio program, “Legends of Success with John Resnick” in 2002, which shares John’s personal interviews with America’s most respected CEO’s and members of the Forbes 400 list. In addition, Billie has been involved in a number of charitable fundraisers including events for Pinnacle Health Foundation and co-creating Legends Live Event featuring Steve Forbes and Dr. Patrick T. Harker, Dean of the Wharton School, which paid special tribute to The Vista School of Central Pennsylvania, an organization assisting young children with autism. Billie and John have been involved with a number of charitable organizations including St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, University of Pennsylvania’s Abramson Cancer Center, The Kids Trust, Daystar Kids, and Winged Foot Scholarship Foundation in Naples, FL.

Billie received her Juris Doctorate and graduated magna cum laude from the Widener University School of Law where she was Business/External Managing Editor of the Widener Law Journal. She is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and was the recipient of numerous academic achievement awards for receiving the highest grade in her class. She graduated magna cum laude from Dickinson College with a B.A. in Political Science.

John Resnick

Principal

John Resnick is a founder of The Resnick Group of Naples, Florida. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in providing life insurance guidance for affluent families, individuals, and executives. His clients are recognized as some of the most successful families and business leaders in America.

A former adjunct professor, John has lectured extensively at schools and universities, including The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has co-presented Wharton educational forums with Steve Forbes, Jon Huntsman, Sr., Wharton School Dean Patrick Harker, Jon Huntsman, Jr., Prof. Jeremy Siegel, and Prof. Stuart Diamond.

John has also lectured at Florida State University’s College of Business, Bucknell University, and Penn State Dickinson School of Law.

He is co-author of The American Bar Association’s 2018 national reference book, “Due Diligence of Trust Owned Life Insurance”, a guide for estate planning attorneys, family offices, and professionals. His continuing education courses have been attended by more than 2,000 attorneys and CPAs. John is an advocate of the team approach and believes that clients are better served when their professional team works in concert.

John’s has been interviewed by and contributed articles to national publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Wharton Magazine, and (CCH) Journal of Practical Estate Planning.
